Once again, Huxley is merely exaggerating a problem he sees in our society. In the book, everyone seems to just have sex with everyone else, no questions asked. While that may not be absolutely true in our society, it isn't completely false either. We base many things we do around sex. Advertisements, clothes, books and magazines, they all sell on sex appeal. And some people around really do find no issue with having sex whenever with whoever, but not everyone. Not yet, at least. This whole book is a commentary on society, but it is also a vision of what the future may actually hold if nothing is changed.
